What we did in humanities class today

What we did in humanities today

Today in humanities, we discussed how we were going to be responding to grade 8s from a class in Australia! Using our blogs, we would be replying to them about their problems in Woodleighville.

Ms.Morris, the teachers class from Australia, has a website called Woodleighville Morris Ward where we are able to socialize with her class. Our humanities class will be  writing letters to the editor on these issues in the town. We read up on articles yesterday to get a head start for ideas on how to properly format our letter. We read up on the issues: recovering from Cyclone Mike, Rioting recovery, should we install CCTV cameras, and do we want a WOLDI Superstore.

Our class was in the library today working on our letters to Woodleighville about their issues.  We each had to choose one problem and write a letter to the editor about our feedback. These  included offering suggestions, agreeing or disagreeing to the problem, giving our opinions to some of their arguments.

I am very excited to be responding and giving feedback from this grade 8 class in Australia and especially look forward to discussing the reality of economic, political, and social conflicts currently  happening in their town.
