Definition Poem

Its head is as white as new fallen snow
Its eyes like deep black holes
Its beak a jagged hook, and yet beautiful to the look

The body is as black as ink
The wings mightier than the sphinx

Its talons sharper than knives
As it preys on small creature day and night

It soars though the sky with much grace
Circling above with no haste

Laying its eggs oh so high
If they fell they would surely die

I fly in the sky what am I?
